All About Pretty Penny
Biography
Penny is a half long-hair, half short-hair purebred miniature Dachshund who was born on October 7, 2017 in Bakersfield, CA. She was adopted on December 31, 2017 and lived in sunny San Diego for a little over 2 years before moving to Houston, TX in June of 2020.
Her official coloring type is “chocolate-based red,” which means her fur is red, but her nose and paw pads are brown instead of the more common black. A girl certainly doesn’t enjoy disclosing her weight, but since so many people are curious about her size, she’s about 15 pounds. She has fluffy blond hair, white markings, and the most gorgeous green eyes that capture everyone’s attention!

No, but she is a well-trained emotional support animal.
Not anytime soon! I love that Penny is able to travel with us, and we do travel pretty often, so I think it’s easiest for us to just have one right now. In several years when Penny gets older and needs a slower-paced lifestyle, we’ll probably get another Dachshund puppy!
Nope! She was spayed when she was around 6 months old.
I actually just use my iPhone 8+ for all of my photos on Instagram! Sometimes I use portrait mode, but it doesn’t always capture Penny’s floof correctly.
I edit most photos on my phone with apps called VSCOcam and Photoshop Fix.
I use an app called Unfold to make a lot of my stories, but the highlight icons were made in Illustrator on the computer.
I make all of my Instagram story templates on the computer with InDesign.
