How to Make a Pet Photo Backdrop for Under $20

| So lately I’ve been feeling extra inventive and I’ve come up with a great and inexpensive way to make a portable photo backdrop for pets at home, all for under $20! You’ll only need a few supplies to get started and you’ll be taking great photos against a variety of backgrounds! Assemble the clothing rack most of the way, but don’t finish attaching the top bar to the rest of the structure yet. You’re welcome to shop for comparable supplies elsewhere, I just chose IKEA because it’s so affordable and I knew they’d have everything.

Things You’ll Need:

Essentials:
Clothing Rack
Curtain Rings w/ Hooks
Towel or Fabric
Board or Shoe Tray

Optional Items:
Small Chair or Bench
Photo Props

Unfortunately, this post is not sponsored by IKEA and I do not work there or receive goods and/or money from them.

Putting It All Together:

Assemble the clothing rack most of the way, but don’t finish attaching the top bar to the rest of the structure yet. Attach the hooks to the rings, put the rings on the top bar and then finish building the clothing rack as usual, putting a piece of wood or the plastic shoe rack across the bars to make a “stage” for your pet to stand/sit on.

Leave the rack on the lowest setting, then clip a patterned beach towel or piece of fabric onto the rack, almost like it’s a shower curtain, by its shortest end and drape it over the “stage” to create a seamless backdrop. For an even more professional look, put a small chair or bench under the background fabric to make place for your dog to sit in the middle of the pattern versus sitting down on the ground where the floor meets the bottom of the fabric.
